GUEST SPEAKERS

School enjoyed an extremely interesting and informative talk from Mrs Robinson, who used to teach at Anderton. Both staff and pupils were enthralled by her tales of teaching 50 years ago! We look forward to Mrs Robinson coming back to see us later in the year.

We were also lucky to be treated to talks by Martha's mum and grandma who both came to our school. Again everyone was captivated by tales of school a long time ago. It was especially interesting to discover that in the 50's children stayed at Anderton until they were 15 if they didn't pass their scholarship to go to the Grammar School, (there were no 'high schools' in those days!
