Here at Anderton Primary the curriculum is delivered in an enthusiastic and vibrant way taking into account the preferred learning styles of the children. Lessons are exciting and use cross-curricular links to ensure that children make connections across the curriculum and see the big picture. It is really important that children see the connections that can be made in all of their lessons. For example, if a class were learning about circuits in Science, then their technology would encompass this.

Music is important in our school as a fun way to aid learning. The music chosen in lessons and assemblies reflects the content of the work being undertaken. Every opportunity is given through class work and homework for all children to achieve their maximum potential.

The staff work collaboratively as a team and we believe that as a team everyone achieves more. All of the staff are committed to the profession and believe that children are at the heart of everything we do.

The views of children are important to us and we have an active School Council. Our school is a happy, thriving place to be where children have a ‘good start for a better future.’
